Mr. Gene Rice In his two years at McAuley, Mr. Gene Rice has taught Chemistryt Bird watching takes up most of Mr. Rice's free time He attended Georgetown College, earning a 8.5., and Ohio University, earning an M.S. Miss Connie Robinson This is Miss Robinson's first year at McAuiey. She teaches World Literature, English IV, and Humanities. Miss Robinson attended Marion High School and received a BA, in Literature and a 3.3. in Education from the University of Cincinnati. Her other interests include sewing, reading, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and the theater. Mrs. Carol Sonten Mrs. Carol Santen teaches Home Economics, Money Management, Meal Preparation, and Clothing Construction. She went to Mt. St. Joseph College where she acquired a B.A. in Home Economic Education. Her outside interests include tennis, golf, and crafts. Mrs. Santen is new at McAuley. 25

Mr. John O'Connor A veteran of thirteen years of teaching at McAuley, Mr. John O'Connor has attended five colleges and universifiries: St. Jerome's College, the University of Toronto, John Carroll University, UC, 0nd XU. He holds Two B.Ai's 0nd one M.Ai He teaches Latin I, II, Ill, and IV, and he is interested in reading, gardening, and sports, Mrs. Mary Ellen Ohr Mrs. Mary Ellen Ohr, in her fourth year of teaching Biology I, attended Edgecliff, Miami, and UC and holds 0 B.A. Her hobbies are cooking, sewing, hiking, and traveling. Miss Kathy Pohl After attending Summit Country Day School, Miss Pohl went on to Moryville College of the Sacred Heart. She transferred to Mt. St. Joe and also went to Xavier University. She received her B.A. in Political Science of Mt. St. Joe and her Master's in Education of XU. This is her fourth year of McAuley, and she teaches POD and Comparative European Governments. Miss Pohl is an avid horse-Iover and enjoys horseback riding, showing horses, hunters and jumpers, sports, and traveling. 24

Mr. Jim Schneider Another of McAuley's Roger Bacon graduates, Mr. Jim Schneider attended the College of Sfeubenville, earning c BA. in History and did graduate work at XU. Mr. Schneider teaches Modern Europe, American History, and World Cutture and has been at McAuley for five years. He coaches McAuieyes Varsity Basketball Team and is a Board Member of the National Honor Society. Mrs. Carol Seissiger In her first year at McAuley, Mrs. Carol Seissiger teaches Spanish II, III, and IV. Sports, crafts, sewing, and reading occupy her free time, MrsA Seissiger attended Elizabeth Seton College and Western Connecticut State College, earning an A.A.S. 0nd 0 86. Mrs. Nathalie Semoncik Mrs. Nathalie Semoncik has taught at McAuley for nine years, four years of which were part Time. She teaches English Ill and Reading. Mrs. Semoncik enjoys reading, boating, swimming, and cooking. She received 0 BA. of Mt. St. Joseph College and cm Med. of Xavier University
