With the help of the many office ladies at McAuley, tuition is payed, books are kept straight, reports are typed, records are filed, and every stu- dent is accounted for during every moment of the day. 12 ' . . .--,, A....a...e As we live and grow through edu- cation, we realize we are here for a purpose. Some are just here to learn, to teach, to dis- cover themselves and others, some for just mere fun; but those who reach out, grow from ex- periences, become a friend, come before the sun. While sitting in class, staring at the walls, a wave of loneliness sweeps over me. I can hear the wild laughter in the halls--It seems happy chatter sets people free. Now Ilm there, too, with one class left--five down. Dodge 'mg the bodies and the bobbing heads, sharing good times and just clowning around. Yet, in- side I still feel isolated. My dreams are shot down, my feel- ings don't mend. I'm a part of it all . . . but still alone. Why am I like this? I have lots of friends; but none understand, not even at home. Maybe someday my mind will be washed, and all difficul- ties unfurled; but for now I'm just a lonely frosh, all confused in this grownup world.
