The word quickly spread through the quiet halls and classrooms at McAuiey High School when photog- rapher Gordon Baer and I arrived at the school to tell Miss Mary Jane Huber she had won the Treat Your Teacher contest. Miss Huber, who teaches English and world history at McAuley, received 11,656 votes out of 221,215 ballots cast. Her prize is a trip to Hawaii for two via American Airlines Astrojet, a Weekts stay at the Ala Moana Hotel and $200 cash. Compliments Cincinnati Post and Times Star THERE WAS no silenc- ing the students once the news was announced. Shouts and handclaps came from all the classrooms and in her own room Miss Hub- er was besieged by well wishers. Itts wonderful, wonder- ful, she said.
