RELIGION Religion is a basic essential for all persons. Beliefs and rituals have existed throughout history and up to the present day. These have come to be called the religions of the world. At McAuley, students have studied many of the basic religions. Religion classes have centered on trying to help students grow and live, thinking and helping each other and themselves. GUIDANCE Guidance is a vital part of a McAuleyan's life plan- ning. With excellent facilities at hand, Sr. Ruth and Sr. Jane Frances help work out every problem. Much time should be spent in the guidance department library by every student to plan for her future. lx Melissa DeCrane is in the Guidance Library. The Math Department at McAuIey helps develop the minds of the Ensteins of tomorrow. Like Enstein, McAuIey is willing to try new and dif- ferent ideas. Team-teaching is a good example of this. Sr. Nancy, Sr. Judith and Miss Pollex all help to teach the Algebra I students. In this way, the students can come to any one of the three teachers for outside help. Algebra Il is taught independently. Class meets only a few days a week. Then the students come in during their free mods for independent work. All the Math Classes help give students useful Arithmetic knowledge for daily life. ragga- ,Q 20
