IVIICROSCOPIC IVICAULEY McAuley High School is fifteen years old. It is situated on Anthony Wayne Trail - a heavily traveled route through the south end of Toledo. lt is a beautiful school, both outside and in. The facade of the school is light-colored brick, with steel and glass entrances of modern design. inside, McAuley is an exceptionally clean, bright, and well-organized school, modular scheduling is just one ex- ample of this. A series of halls, classrooms, foyers, and doorways fill the school. The desks are modern in design and blond wood in color. The walls are light colors, mostly green, and floors shine with a bright finish. ln addition to the regular physical aspects seen in most schools, McAuley boasts the city's best high school library lcarpeted and nicely decoratedl, a huge gymnasium loften converted into an auditorium by use of folding chairsl, very well-equipped science laboratories, a language laboratory, a soundproof lecture room, a large art department, a pho- tography dark room, a bookstore, and last but certainly not least, a beautiful chapel. McAuley is a lovely school -the cheerful physical coun- tenance of the joy in learning to be found within the school. , 16
