The strength of our nation lies in this parchment, which has endured for generations as proof of the foresight our founding fathers possessed. The Constitution not only directs the manner in which our government shall be conducted, but, with the Bill of Rights, guarantees our basic freedoms. In choosing the Constitution as our theme, We of the Mustang staff have attempted to por- tray the effect these fundamental rights have on our school life and how these privileges are ex- ercised by McArthur students. The class and school-vvide assemblies sym- bolize freedom of speech and assemblyg the Hi- Times, Pegasus, and Mustang publications ex- emplify freedom of the pressg the Student Council is our right of self-governmentg and the morning devotion signifies the religious freedom of our school life. The Yearbook staff believes that these im- portant freedoms and the Constitution that guarantees them should be expressed as the theme of the 1963 Mustang.
