Members gave their time to students wishing to improve their grades. Under the leadership of Miss Pricem the club served as guides for college night representatives. Besides accepting the responsibility for the upkeep of the Valedictorian-Salutatorian plaque, the NHS awarded a scholarship to a deserving senior and awarded individual plaques. Their busy schedual was interrupted for a Christmas party before vacation. In March, new members were inducted at a special assembly and a reception was held afterward for them and their parents. PEGASUS ARRIVES AT MQARTHUR McArthur,s new literary magazine, Pegasus, was first published in January. The Pegasus Club Was formed and ten members were chosen to serve as the editorial board. They judged many stories and poems received from McArthur students. A five dollar award was pre- sented to the writer of the best entry in each category. The Pegasus Club was also responsible for Writing the lyrics and dialogue for a musical comedy, The Other Side of the Mirrorf' presented by the advanced chorus on May 31. Mr. Smith's music theory class composed the music. Richard and Deanna review PEGASUS.
