STAMP AND COIN CLUB DISPLAYS VALUABLE COINS Exhibiting coins in the library showcase was the main project of McArthur's Stamp and Coin Club. Many valuable and interesting coins were included in the two week display which caught the attention of many MHS students. At club meetings, held twice a month, members exchanged stamps and coins and discussed events re- lative to their hobbies. The December meeting featured a Christmas party. BAND GAINS NEW DIRECTOR Spirit, enthusiasm, and talent characterized Mc- Arthur's Marching Band. Led by Director Donald DRUM MAJOR AL SERGEL Bradley, the group marched its way through the foot- ball season and also provided tl1e necessary pep at the basketball games. Long hours of rehearsal necessitated students stay- ing for tedious evenings of practice. The extra time was compensated for in the entertaining half-time shows they provided at each of McArthur's home games. School-wide and class assemblies were also enhanced by the music that the band supplied. At both the Christmas Assembly and Chorale Sing a jovial spirit was evident because of the musicians' efforts. The band provided colorful halftimes.
