CLUB AUCTIONS TEACHER MASTERPIECES One of the busiest organizations on campus, the Art Service Club, headed their calendar of events by sponsoring an auction of teachers' art work. As in the past, the club participated in the Halloween window painting competition. They also displayed their work at the Christmas Bazaar. In April, Student Council candidates made good use of the members talents. Their posters drew numerous compliments from MHS students and teachers. The active club was also responsible for the fine scenery of the plays, decorations for the dances, and the crepe paper trimmings on the goal posts during football season. LIBRARY CLUB HOLDS BOOK FAIR Not only can McArthur High boast of a fine library, but also of an expert staff of assistants who compose the Library Club. The most successful and profitable project was the mid-Winter book fair. Students and adults were offered a Wide variety of books for their own enjoyment or for gift giving. The Library Club's five officers attended the dis- trict meeting at North Miami Senior High. As a finale to the year, ten assistants Were chosen to represent MHS at the Florida High School Library Council held at the MYF Camp in Leesburg. Library book box stalks the campus during book week.

YEAR The 29 V.O.E. girls this year made several fields trips. The class sent representatives to the National Secretarial Association, Broward International Airport, Hollywood Citizens Bank, post office and Hollywood Federal. Under the leadership of Miss Jean Henwood, mem- bers studied Business English, shorthand II, and se- cretarial office practice. They used the most modern equipment including a fluid duplicator mimeograph machine, ten-key adding machine, full-key calculator and electric typewriters.
