KEY CLUB IS CO-HOST FOR STATE CONVENTICJN Highlighting this yeafs activities for the Key Club was co-hosting the Florida District Convention held April 25-28 at the Hollywood Beach Hotel. Much of the credit for the success of the gathering Went to MHS members for the work they did on convention com- mittees. The boys served the school by painting the trash cans, helping the guidance department with the college catalog supply, planting bushes on the senior patio, and ushering at the elementary concert in Ianuary. In March the members played the faculty in the annual basket- ball game, which the faculty won. Thev were more successful in the game against the Wheel Club. Slave Day, the event at which members are sold to the highest bidder, helped raise funds for a member's expenses at the International Convention. The group aided the National Childrenis Cardiac Hospital in collecting funds and donations. Christmas found the girls aiding a needy family with food, clothing and gifts. Also in keeping with the yuletide season they sold attractive corsages. The Sinawiks repeated their annual Easter project. Several members Cincluding Easter bunny, Carolyn Fazioj visited various children's organizations with eggs and candy. The club helped promote school spirit with their pennant project and also their Pep Pops . The girls kept the school bulletin boards decorated throughout the year. They also participated in the women faculty- Sinawik game.
