Musical Side of Football Games... SOMETHING NEW — At each different football game, the McHi band presented a new and different routine during the halftime ceremonies, to the delight of the fans, in addition to numbers played during the course of the games themselves. During one of the routines, top left, Ann Bergquist is being crowned band sweetheart by Rudolph Hunger, president of the band. In order to present these routines and musical num- l ers, endless practice sessions, including the regular Tuesday night ones, are necessary. Director C. L. Horn, left, is shown during one of these rehearsals.
