Joe Long, Joline Ritchey, Sabina Bernardi. Due to the hard work ot the journalism class, wherever the News-Capital goes, people know ot the happenings ot lvicAlester High School. The Butte-Low-Down is the otticial paper and public relations medium between the school and community. It is written and edited by the journalism class and published weekly as a part ot the Mcfhlester News-Capital. By this means journalism becomes a lab course, ottering students practical experience in writing tor a newspaper and ettective training in many phases ot newspaper work. Library readings are included to broaden the student's view ot the journalistic tield and to teach intelligent use and interpretation ot newspapers. The sixteen members have met every day second hour. But they have worked much more than that time indicates. Practically every minute ot the school day has tound some aspiring reporter searching out some student or teacher tor a story. STAFF and CLASS MEMBERS are: Raymond Smith, editor: Sabina Bernardi, associate editor: Sabre Smith, 'feature editor: Barbara Francis, club editor: Joe Long, sports editor: Joline Ritchey, exchange manager and Mary Pierce, mailing clerk: Charlotte Carano, Marilyn Hundley, Raymond Fitzgerald, Joyce G-ladstein, Jerry Joe McManus, Bill McEuen, Peggy Manschreck, Donald Nelson, Freddie Phipps, Mildred Rodgers, Richard Penix, and Miss Jessie Mae Smallwood, advisor. ker, and Stanley Nexswan- etary of the Knife and Fork e Q ' pid s Dart Misses did I tinlvl... -.unless mil'- Chrletmas holidays.
