Ve were the new dace of Green Freshmen that appear each September at the training center, McAfee High School. Each member of our claee was filled with energy , ambition, and the determination not to wash out , but to end the course wearing the gold bars of a pilot. At the beginning of our training period we elected the following officerei President - William Condor, Vice-President - - Elizabeth Smith, Treasurer - Dalton Hendren� Secretary - Mable Slme Reporter - Nina HcCoun Dalton Hurst McCoun left our class during the year which closed with an excursion flight to Joyland Park. Mr. Bruce Champion was our sponsor during this first training period. In the fall of 1951, twenty-eight climbed aboard the plane for the second P®J”d ° training. Ve were determined to ignore the title, Silly Sophomores . .♦u ♦v.°UJ upperoiassmen bestowed upon us. Ve continued our flight training with the following offioers: President- Kenneth Roney, Vice-President -William Conder, Secretary,-Mary Joyce Dean, Treasurer - Dalton Hendren. Ve regretted the loss of Agnes Vickersham, Bobby Sheperson, and Elizabeth Smith, but we welcomed Bessie Cooper and Durr Graham. Our Sophomore year oloeed with a Per3T Park LoulBTHle Mr. A. T. As °“r training draws near, we anticipate with much pleasure the events before usj our Senior Play, Class Night, Baccalaureate, and Commencement. It has been a hard strain on them, for all Seniors are said to be at all timer and all conditions difficult to manage. But they have done their duty and now they shall have their reward.
