' We, the Senior Class of nineteen hundred and fifty-three, occupants of McAfee High School, now leaving this domicile of pleasure in the city of contentment, do hereby declare this to be our last will and tes tment. These estates which we have gained by our mental faculties and sub- tle plots will be disposed of as follows: Item: The Senior Class of nineteen hundred and fifty-three leaves its superiority to the Junior Class Item: We leave to the faculty an ample dose of medicine in case the class of next year is as hard to handle as we have been Item: To the Sophomores, we will and bequeth our ability to get out of work. Item: To the Freshmen Class, we leave our ability to think up ex- cuses to make trips to the store Item: The following may seem to be of little importance but be- cause of the generosity of our hearts we wish to dispose to our under- classmen our individual possessions as follows: I. Verna Baker leaves her ability to go with Harrodsburg boys to Patsy Mooney and Minds Gillis 2 Dale Stumph leaves his ambition to be a pianist to Durr Graham, and his noisy ways to Patsy Watts. 3. To Betty Jo Snowden and Mary Lou Conder, Jo Ann Sallee leaves her ability to keep the same boy friend all through high school. 4. Jean Drury wills her successful hunt of finding a husband dur- ing her Senior year to Betty Reynolds and her blond hair to Carolyn Hanby. 5. Tb Kenneth Roney and Stanley Watts, Alvie Abner leaves his short- ness and pleasant ways 6. Glenn Reynolds wills his red hair and freckles to Eugene Taylor and Bronson Yeast. 7. Barbara Mattingly wills her long fingernails to Mary Joyce Dean and her bird appetite to Charlotte Woods. 8. John Willie Watts leaves his ability to skip classes to Harry Terhune and his sports ways to Caroll Gritton. 9. To Charlene Fallis, Anna Rose Grider leaves her big appetite and her love of night life to Virginia Egbert. 10. Carroll Burton wills his witty mind to William Conder and his good looks to Tony Proctor. II. To Joyce Sallee, Callie Morgan leaves her easy way of life and her towering height to Jack Davis. 12. Edmond Broughton leaves his fast and reckless driving to Charles Preston, and his standing to be the pest of the class to Norman White. mi 13. Jean Moore wills her ability to raise evergreens to Louise Mark- sbury and her love of brown eyes to Wanda Gash and Arlene Dean. The Senior Class of '53 has chosen us as their prophets Everyone has his future already planned but as we gaze into our crystal ball our powers reveal us the following prophecy for our fellow classmates. We first see EDMOND BHOUGHTON as a star farmer of Kentucky and also the agriculture teacher of Mercer Co High. JEANIE CORNISH is now residing on MAIN STREET in Duncan and spends her time chasing her three cotton tops. We see GLENN REYNOLDS Just graduationg from U.K. and accepting a Job coach- ing football at Anderson High. ALVIE ABNER is now the owner of a new Chevrolet Garage in Ebenezer. JO ANN SALLEE is married to her school day sweetheart KENNETH LAY and keeps him busy dodging rolling pens. BARBARA MATTINGLY has completed a business course and is working as secret- ary for President of the United States. JOHN WILLIE WATTS is the owner of a fleet of trucks and is now looking for drivers• CARROLL BURTON is a wonderful farmer and husband, since he finally settled down • ANNA ROSE GRIDER and Leroy, her husband are now operating a restaurant and service station in Nicholasville. CALLIE MORGAN is head typist for the Cincinnati Times. DALE STUMPH has Just purchased a new Spinet piano for his band that he Is organizing. As we glance back Into the Crystal Ball we see ourselves. JEAN MOORE is happily married and dressing JUNIOR for his first day of school. VERNA BAKER is now living in Harrodsburg but still has to get up early to get her husband off on his bus route.
