Social Sciences Social Studies has always been a way to learn about heritage, history, and government Through the past, students were taught about the future After learn- ing world history through studies with Mr, Chaney, Dr Kelly enlightened students with anecdotes of American lifestyles Government and Economics at Mc dory has been taught for many years by Mr Baker, and Mr Swiney has always delighted nintfi graders with tales of Alabama ' s past while Ms Atchison and Mr. Mize constructed a thorough foundation through Civics and seventh grade History Mr. Baker Mr. Swiney Ms. Atchison Mr. Mize 24

Finer Arts Vocational education has always been a strong point in McAdory ' s cur- riculum The BOE Dept led by Ms Madison, Ms Williams, and Ms Hall won state and national recognition The FFA which continued its award winning tradition was again led by Mr lackson, Mr Caddell, and Mr Swaffield; also Ms Brunner and the FH.A were honored in stale competition The Fine Arts Dept coordinated by Mr Beckner, Ms Bryant, and Mr Douglas added just the right touch, and the Library Arts stafi, anchored by Ms McAdory, added a full time computer instructor, Ms Beckner The Language Arts were again led by Ms Carter whose trilingual talents both excited and motivated McAdory ' s foreign language students Ms. Madison Ms. Hall Ms. Williams Mr. Jackson Mr. Caddell Mr. Swaffield Ms. Brunner Mr. Beckner Mr. Douglas Ms. Bryant Coach Reeder Ms. McAdory Ms. Beckner Ms. Carter 23
