Administrative Staff The 1984-85 McAdory High School Administrative Staff was one of the best ever They were the main agen- cy of the school working constantly to keep the school going at its highest capacity They worked diligently to Insure that McAdory ranked with the top schools in Jefferson County McAdory has thus excelled In academics, as well as sports and other extracurricular activities The staff was again led by the principal, Ms Nell Salamone The Community School activities excelled this year under the direction of Randy Haught The counselors, Ms. Vines, Ms Plowden. and Ms Bess worked hard helping students with career and college decisions The Vice- Principals who supervised everything it seems were Mr Frank Green and Mr Russell Schmidt Other staff members included Ms Cottingham, Ms, Fountain, Ms, Mackey, Ms, Adkins, Ms, Smith, and Ms Nicholas, Ms. Vines Ms. Bess Mr. Haught Ms. Nicholas 19

English English has always been one of the most important parts of our lives The English teachers at McAdory worked hard to improve language and gram- mar skills This year a new English pro- gram, called Advanced Placement English, allowed college bound students to prepare skills necessary for Honors Placement in college and gave them the opportunity to earn college credit The English teachers included Ms Atchison, Ms Myers, Ms Gambles, Ms. lackson, Mr. Sims, Ms Peyton, Mr. Williams, Ms Abernathy, Ms Parsons, and Mr Staggs Ms. Parsons Mr. Sims Ms. Myers Ms. Jackson Mr. Williams Ms. Abernathy Ms. Peyton 20
