He answers the call capably. pleasantly and understanding . For these reasons and for our admiration of his untiring efforts to improve the school and his willingness to help each student, we the Senior Class of '63 dedicate our 1962-1963 annual to 3 Mr. Norman Shook STUDENTS OF McADORY HIGH SCHOOL It is indeed a privilege to write this message to the students of McAdory High School. McAdory rates among the best high schools in the state. It is accredited by the Southern Association. and its staff consists of teachers who are not only well qualified in their subject matter fields, but are dedicated to serving the youth of the community. The record proves that McAdory students have taken many county honors in past years, and I feel that among you are those who will not only be successful in your chosen careers in later life, but will make real contributions to your communities and to your country. May I urge you to adopt high standards for personal living, to decide early in life what vocation you would like to follow, and then work diligently toward that goal. I wish it were possible for me to spend sufficient time in your school to know each of you individually. Please accept this message as an indication of my concern for your welfare and an expression of hope that all of you will succeed and be happy in life. J Kermit A. Johnson W Superintendent 4 ADMINISTRATION The quality of mercy is not strained; It droppeth, as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath; it is twice bless’d — It blesseth him that gives, and him that takes. SHAKESPEARE PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE America is a great nation because there have always been those outstanding citizens who have accepted the responsibility to make it so. They have been able to find the good cause and to work for it until it became a reality. There are members in your graduating class of this same calibre citizens who will continue to find and continue to support the good cause for which to work. It is through the efforts of these that I am assured of an even greater America. Will you join this group and become another outstanding citizen? 6 Dr. William F. Thanks to all those who bought annuals, to all teachers who were so kind and understanding with us, to Mr. Dunlap for taking some of our pictures and to you who cooperated so readily with us. Also, we would like to ask each of you to look through the ad section and patronize those merchants who were kind enough to help finance this book. A special thanks to Miss Carolyn Lindsey, without whose help this annual would not have been possible. Also a vote of thanks to Dr. Dodson and Mrs. Faulkner for their assistance. We hope that you enjoy your 1963 annual.
