H1 Tom On the third day of September 1937 the sun rose high on a group of anxious little faces with book satchels and lunch boxes This was a new adventure that fooled all for each September for the past twelve years has found us doing the same but not with so much anxiety We found our places in the red brick school house on the ground which it now stands Miss Bertalee Butts be ing our teacher soon soothed our fears by giving us a bunny rabbit to draw After this all twenty one of us began to feel it wasnit so bad after all and fell into line on down through the years Seven years passes and it finds that this class has been narrowed dovm to near one third its original size As Freshmen we got into school whole heartedly, taking part and feeling as if we were an integral part of the school This year was the beginning of our athletic careers We began to play football however filling in We felt most important doing that From Freshmans to Sophomorest eleven of our group s1u'vived This was the time of superior feeling Wayne CTonyJ Edinburgh was elected Vice-President of the class His efficiency proved to the high school that we could do big things Sophomores to Juniors left us with six members, plod- ding diligently alongh the boys had become main string athletes and were making history for McAdoo High The trophy case is proof enough for that Last but not least three Seniors will walk down the last long mile of the weary road They have won, through cour- age and the will to do these last honors that will live for ever However it has not been all honey and spice It has proved to be an event that will live as yesterday in our minds and memories They are not ones to falter at the crossroads but to travel on to higher goals s 0 7 some being left behind, others seeking better pastimes
