With the aid of Greg's scheming, Kerry impersonates Harrison Day to trick her out of the part. Sally, with the help of her pub- licity agent, Norman Porter, is also trying to win the part. Lydia and Caleb are two too-busy parents who offer no in- terest in Penny's efforts. Besides Penny's problems there is a brother, Mark, who wants to buy a farm, but hasn't the money, a grandmother who must raise her grandchildren , and a sister, Mavis, who is working very hard at a radio station, but getting nowhere. Sally and Mark fall in love, Sally forgets her movie plans, and Mark acquires the chicken farm as a result of his father's new interest in him. Gram not only awakens Caleb, but also Lydia, to the responsibilities of being parents.
