The year of 1974 was another successful year for our library. Because of its continual success we would like to dedicate the 1974 Wildcat to the Mayville High School Library. Our library has an excellent collection of books which include a reference section, fiction and non-fiction hard back books plus a wide variety of paperbacks. Growth is an important mark of our library. In 1969 we had ap- l proximately 6,000 books for grades 7-12. Today we have nearly 9, 000 books for grades 9-12. c The book selection is not the only thing which has grown in our library. We now have, in addition to books, tape recordings, film strips, overhead projection transparencies, records, and film loops. . Our school library has the capacity to seat 50 students at many f various tables. In addition to this, more students may be handled if the science room, office, and magazine room are used. This large ° capacity makes our library ideal for entire classes, small groups or many individual students. n The annual staff would like to add a big Thank-you to Mrs. Barber for her dedication and hard work in her library.
