cu p, ophecij »o CO C i cn Lets look into the future about 10 years. It is now 1961, lets look around us and see what has become of all the Seniors from the class of 51. First off we see that JoAnn Bremer, has become a Home Ec teacher at no other place than Mayville High. Joyce Bacon is a top flight secretary to Dick Warmbler who has become a famous engineer. Carl Lindsay is head coach at Michigan State. Barney Phelps went in the army after graduating and really stuck to it, he is now a captain. June Hare, Patsy Hormel, and Clarice Leach are all employed as telephone operators. Audrey Hormel, Grace Longeuay and Evonne Sherk have all become successful nurses; Evonne and Audrey both married doctors and of course you all know who Grace is married to. Marion Clemons and Betty Hebberd have both made a career of marriage. We have two more teachers in our midst, Rena Mitchel and Marion Clark. Rena is teaching Kindergarden and Marion is teaching Art. By the way you remember Rena was married back in 51 . Pudge Sanford became a mason and is now working on a building in Detroit that i9 suppose to exceed the Empire State in height. We find another teacher Shirley York who Just recently gained a Master’s degree in Music. We now come to a group of farmers here we find Wilferd Tompkins, Don Sarles, Leroy Liskey, Ted Klimik, Armond Milner, and Hubert Terbush. I hear that Bill has Just received a prize for his fine cattle and that Hubert has been recognized as Farmer of the Year for his work in Soil Conservation. Winifred Teets became a model and is combining marriage and a career nicely. Ronald Graubner is living in upper Michigan where he is a game Warden. Doris Buhl was married shortly after she left school. I don't recall the fellows name right now. Are class really has had its share of military men. Don Dost is a navy man and commander of one of the Atomic Submarines. George Riley is a Captain in the Signal Corps. Doyle Ford and Marvin Rich are still both in the Air Corp. I understand that Doyle is a pilot and Marvin is a Navigator. Say, lets not forget about Dick Werner who is a radio man in the same Squadron. Jae Fox is working for the Ford Motor Car Company. It seems that he is busy designing motors for them. Patty Van Wagnen and Barbara Jenkins have an interior Decorating business in Detroit. I seem to remember that both of the girls were married not so long ago. Pat McSherry is now a Criminal Lawyer with a fine practice in Saginaw. Edwina Johnson taught school for several years but she is now married to a prosperious farmer. Fred Teeple is a very good carpenter and owns a wood working shop. From this little glimps into the future I think that things look very good for the Class of 51 .
