Dedication lvlr. Vance, the man behind the scenes of our basketball team, whose excellent coach- ing brought about numerous victories tor the Golden Eagles. We, the Seniors ol '5l, wish to dedicate the Pacemaker to three very highly esteemed individuals who have helped us participate in activities during our joyous years at Mayville Central School. Mr. Steward, our class advisor and loyal friend, who has guided us throughout the years with patience and interest in our problems. Last but not least, Mr. Petersen, our school principal, who has rendered us his wise supervision and services to bring us, now, to this turning point ol our lives. We are truly grateful to you.

The Pacemaker statt at l95l has completed a busy and successtul year. The clicking ot the typewriters and the tlashing ot the cameras have been constantly observed by the underclassmen ot the school. Included this year, along with the many regular articles, are teatures which are new to the Pacemaker. Among these are the articles and pictures ot the numerous servicemen ot the area and the pictures ot the senior superlatives. We, the Seniors of '5l, wish to thank Junior assistants who contributed to make this yearbook one of the best ever. We also want to express the hope that all ot you will, to some extent, share with us the memories this book holds.
