I ELDON TA He wouldn if he could couldn't be he would. - LwgTovTi ctfeumg Thirty-five green freshmen enrolled at M.H.S, in September 1953 and entered all school activities. Their float was second at the homecoming. John Reynolds and Patsy Ellis won the freshman citizenship awards. The class members numbered 40 by the time the sophomore year was reached. Kay Holaday made the G.R.C, all confer- ence basketball team and Ray Holaday was housewarming king. Joyce Wolf and Ray Ellis were king and queen of the St. Patricks dance. Joan Riggs and Paul Sherard received the citizenship awards and Patsy Ellis was F,H,A. president, During the junior year, Joyce Wolf was F,l-I.A. president. She and Joan Riggs and Pat York went to Girls State. Kay Holaday, John Reynolds and Paul Sherard went to Boys State. Pat York and Kay Holaday received the citizenship awards. Head First was the name of the junior play which was high- lighted by the buttling of Albert Thompson. Kay Holaday was chosen on the all-conference and all-dis- trict football teams and received honorable mention on the all- state team. This year there were 37 class members. The senior class of 1956-57 started and ended the year with 36 members. Joyce Wolf was homecoming queen. John Reynolds and Ray Ellis received the State Farmer's degree. Kay Holaday was student body president and Patsy Ellis and Pat York shared the office of student body secretary-treasurerg Ray Ellis was F,F,A. president. John Carson, Ray Ellis, Ray and Kay Holaday made the all- conference football team. Kay Holaday was also all-district. Mr. Holley presents Quill and Scroll Awards to John Reynolds, Kay and Ray Holaday and Bernadette Lager.
