“Well Shoot a Mile!!” The senior class of '84 scored a big hit when they presented the three-act com- edy, “The Boarding House Reach. The play, directed by Miss Mary Beth Helton, was given Nov. 21 and 22. The plot revolved around Wilbur Max- well, played by Stephen Meadows, who decided to rent out the family home (in the absence of his parents) in order to raise It’s easy to be rough, just act like Miss Helton. All I want for Christmas . . .'

“No, this phone is not permanently attached to my ear! But I don’t want wrinkles!” money for a moped, which he desperately wanted. Many comical situations and unforeseen circumstances followed. Cast members involved in the succession of crazy events were: Sean McHugh, Wilbur’s co-conspirator Hercules; Angela Ockerman and Tim Taylor, Wilbur’s parents; Paula Haughaboo and Darlene Lucas, Wilbur's sisters. Philip Hay was the robber Limpy McGuire and Kim Elliott was his wife Nora. George Shelton was cast as Her- man Ninety-Volt” Jones and Joyce Hunt played his wife, Roughhouse Ruby, a former wrestler. Others included Kelly Skaggs, an insurance man; Tammy Henderson, a walking encyclopedia; Lisa Huron, a character who never spoke a word but stared at everyone; Robert Beckley, a policeman; Kim Marshall, Wilbur’s aunt; and Lisa Wilson, a close friend. Besides the play being a smashing success, students can still be heard using Wilbur's favorite expression, ‘Well shoot a mile!”
