last but far from least, two new basketball coaches came into MHS and the ’Dogs again became a team to be reckoned with. Coaches Frey and Hebei worked very hard to promote spirit, renew our strong tradition, and win basketball games. It worked, too, as the Bulldogs not only turned in a winning season but they looked good doing it. Coach Fields summed it up best when he enthusiastically said, “Folks, the 'Dogs are back!!” All of these things together don’t actually indicate a new” breed of Bulldog, but rather a “renewed” breed of the Bulldogs of old. The Seniors of 1983 won’t be around next year to enjoy the continued success that comes when everyone works together for that common goal. Never- theless, when once a part of something great, it stays with you forever. Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog. This sense of belonging and feeling of pride will carry over into life after high school and the Seniors of 1983 will always treasure the memories of being a part of “A New Breed of Bulldog.” Far left.
