PRINCIPALS MESSAGE Proudly we shall watch the Senior Class of lyp7 receive their diplomas. This ceremoney in England has been termed the Passing-out Exercise . More meaningful is Commencement with.the subtle suggestions of the beginning, the threshold, a crossroad important in the quest for life's true aim. The search for happiness has been the ultimate aim of man's- effort. With this common purpose, it seems, strange that life should be so diversified in method and so contrasting in achievement. Wherein men differ is in the idea of happiness. To some happiness means wealth; to others, fame; to othqrs, honor to others, knowledge. Whatever the idea of happiness, the aim must also be to live to good purpose. The ideal dominates life, determines character and fixes man's place among men. The masters in every part of the world have been mastered by a noble ideal andthe wonders accomplished by them reveal the possibilities for all. A worthy ideal is priceless, must be far above to keep eyes looking up-ward and far enough in advance to beckon the struggle onward. As Goethe saysi Life's no resting but a moving Let thy life be deed on deed. The highest ideal that this world has ever known was that presented by the Man of Galilee, that was within the understanding of the fishermen of His: day and concerning which it was written, He went about doing Good. Man was made to be happy especially through his activities and untiring efforts. That you may find happiness is our sincere wish.
