Dedication Mr. Renny E. Johnson To show our gratitude for your accomplishments and service, we dedicate the 1973-74 Golden Bear to you, Mr. Renny Johnson. All during the years that you have been teaching at Mayo, you have participated in many of the school’s activities. Your duties have been performed exceptionally well. Be it concerned with lecturing to your students in your history classes, or giving advice as guidance counselor, or exercising your newly appointed positions as co-ordinator of student affairs and assistant to the principal, you have gained the friendship and trust of many students on campus. Each page of this volume expresses a deep and affectionate warmth for your services to us and others. Mr. Johnson, as the years pass we hope that you will look back in this volume and feel some of the gratitude we tried to express to you. We also hope you realize that we are not thanking you for one year of service, but for all of your accomplishments in the past and for all those we know that you will perform in the coming years. Remember how well you have stated, “students are human beings, handle with care. The main thing in life is not to be afraid to be human.” With these thoughts underlined, we, the members of the yearbook staff and the advisor dedicate this Annual to you. 2
