He says he’ll celebrate the comet’s return with, “a candlelight dinner in my observatory. “ Mrs. Dentino started teaching at MHS in 1981 Her plans for the comet are uncertain but she said, “They will be something remember for the next 76 years “ 9. Ms DiNitto, English, doesn ' t remember working before MHS, “It’s all a blur”, she said But she does remember coming here in 1981. She describes us as, “a once in a lifetime experience.” 10. Mr. Elliott, English, came here in 1975 from Cambridge. He wants to see if the comet, “affects our star wars defense shield,” and hopes, “the class and the comet will be star-struck.” I I Mrs. Flannery taught at the Brockton Junior High before she began her job here as a Special Ed. 1 Mr Abbott was principal at Harwich High before coming to Maynard in 1968 When asked to compare our class to Comet Halley he said, “Although they do not exactly represent a heavenly body, 1 hope that most of them are around 75 years from now.” 2 Before coming to MHS in 1972, Mrs. Andrews, Home Economics, was an assistant buyer for New England Trading Corp Her description of the class is, “stars in their eyes — some bright and optimistic, others dazed and glazed. 3. Mr Cain, Music, directed the Auburn Band and worked as a Bassist before coming to MHS in 1983. He said, compared to Halley ' s, the class of ‘86 doesn ' t seem to have a burn-out point and we know we’ll see them in the future. 4 Mr Coan taught at Acton until 1981 He plans to observe the comet as. “yet another cosmic experience in the game of life, and says, “both the comet and this class fly high and shine brightly.” 5 Mr Cole, who has taught science here since 1963, was a Medical Lab Instructor in Ohio. He plans to view the comet from the terrace of the Suisse-Majestic Hotel He finds our class, like Hallej’s Comet. “Meteoric!. 6
