Dedication . . Bruce Koskinen For the last two decades, the athletic depart- ment. students, and fanatic football fans of Maynard have been blessed with the leader- ship and brilliant coaching of Bruce Kos- kinen. The ranks of sports fans and aspiring athletes will be sorry to see him leave the position he has held as head coach for the last five years. Not only has he proved to be a masterful gridiron strategist, but the com- bination of his love for the outdoors and his innovative mind lead to the success of Project Adventure. Both on the field and off, Mr. Koskinen has been a model for students to emulate. It is for these reasons, but most of all for his warm personality and constant smile, that we dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Koskinen in the hope that he might remain a continual part of the MFIS experience. our coach and friend 49 Activity Review m L , V i. As editor, I therefore extend my gratitude to the loyal staff, composed of representatives from all classes, for its diligence, without which the yearbook would have perished. Other invaluable contributions include the sports candids in the senior section by Ms. Whittemore, the masterful ink drawing by Dan Sweeney on the front page, and ideas furnished by Neimen Marcus and WGBH’s Dial magazine. The key to the yearbook’s suc- cess, however, wds the inspiring guidance and creative brilliance of Beverly-Jean Smith, the staff s advisor and brownie-maker. Staff — Robert Rodday.
