Foreword For twelve years we have traveled along a road which has led to knowledge, friendships, activities, and fun. This book will in future years bring back to our minds all the good times and the old friends we had. It will help us to remember the teachers and counsel- ors who guided us down this road. And now, as we approach the next intersection, we must make deci- sions for ourselves as to which road we shall follow as we continue life’s uncertain journey. We have had a good preparation. Let us hope we make the right decisions. 2

Commemoration We, the class of 1968, present this yearbook in commemoration of Rebecca Anne McDowell. BECKY . . . Class treasurer . . . classmate . . . athlete . . . friend Quiet . . . helpful . . . happy . . . reserved Energetic . . . enthusiastic . . . sincere Becky had a shy and quiet smile, unpretentious, yet friendly. She was unno- ticeable in a rushing crowd, yet now that she’s gone, her presence is missed, and all who knew her feel the emptiness she has left behind. Her “Hey! Got your dues?” and soft, sincere “Hi” as she passed through the corridors with a slight tilt of her head, gentle bounce of blonde hair, and slow smile were familiar to all of us. We, the class of 1968, shall always remember Becky as a part of our life at Maynard High School. 4
