THIRD ROW: Dan Needham, Manager, Jim Young, Ralph Horton Don l-Ia1r, Wayne Thomas, B111 Edginton, Robert McLaughlin, Manager Stalwart JV's Complete Another Season The Baby Trojans , under the leadership of Morris Stofle and Gor- don Russ, finished the '61 season with arecord of lwin, 4 losses, and ,1 tie. The Trojans, plagued by injuries to key players, lacked offensive punch but hadasolid defense throughout the year. None of their six opponents scored more than one touchdown. Highlights' of the season were the 14-0 win over Bishop Moore and the final game, a 7-7 tie, with cross- town rival, Colonial. Co-captains for the Trojans were Larry Allen and Wayne Thomas. Under the expert guidance of Coach Fred Pennington, the Trojans downed many class AA teams in the Sunshine Conference. The Trojans took six ina row before suffe r in g their first defeat and topped their se ason by winning the Tangerine Bowl Christmas Tournament. There is credit due to the team that made this outstanding season possible.
