Trojan backfield fakes as Wiedenbeck plunges through enemy defensive wall. BOONE The Trojans and the Braves fought a nip and tuck battle all through the first half. But the story was different in the last two quarters. The Braves opened up with their spread offense totake the win over the Trojans. Turning in a fine performance for the Trojans were Jack Ellington and Larry Hodges who gain- ed much of theyardage for Evans. EDGEWATER Jerry Tilley starred for the Eagles in the smashing 38-0 defeat which the Eagles handed to the Trojans. The Eagle ace could not be stopped as he ripped his way through the Evans' defense to score 2 out of Edgewater's 5 touchdowns. COLONIAL The Trojans ended the'61 season against arch-rival, Colo- nial. Evans was heldto short yardage until the closing minutes. Itwas thenthat Steve Gramiis entered the game to lead the Tro- jans on an 84-yard aerial attack that ended in a touchdown pass for Evans' only score of the night. But Grannis' attempt was in vain for the Grenadiers, who had already scored thrice, took the contest 20-6.

I ., Skip Stewart makes driving tackle on a hard-running back. APOPKA Everyone has their bad day, as Evans found out when they took their third defeat of the season against the Blue Darters. Evans could not stop the running attack of George Kevern who piled-up 133 yards against the Trojans. The Trojans only score of the evening came on a pitchout from George Stallard to Cookie Miller. ME LBOURNE In the fifth of the Evans prep series the Trojans fell 26-O. Key man for the Bulldogs was Ken Hammond who led his team to their six touchdown victory over the Trojans. COCOA Returning to their home field, the Trojans were plagued by a run of bad breaks bringing about a 19-7 loss to the Tigers. Jack Ellington high lighted the game for the Trojans with his 87-yard return of the second half opening kick off. OCALA Although failing to conquer the vicious single wing of Ocala, the Trojans were successful in ending the string of shut-outs held by the Wildcats. This attributed to Cookie Miller who scooped up an Ocala fumble and scampered for the touchdown. 163 'I Cruuuuuunch Hr . - 1 - an -- -' 'I i'1 ' if 'a f.1,fmfymQ1w,imf - fn' .L .Rumi .ity Avy . s r F g A Q Jgifm ju? at-, 1 ,A D G Q , I t .. ,,G .Q V l. , in Hgh, , . . , N . is , g 2 i.m+-1,-1t-i- we my- -' V' 'kat 5 1, nm 'Y Mui t -nigzfri' .'l: 1.
