Game . . . Dance In the fall of 1961 the Evans student body selected a Homecoming Court made up of the following girls: Francine Brooks, Charlotte Donaldson, Gail Hughes, Martha Reece, Sharon McAtamney, Cy Overrnan, Lynn Beuchat, Bonnie Hughes, Barbara Fox, and Sandy Elkin. From this group the Trojan football team made the final selection, picking Senior Sandy Elkin to reign as Queen at the Evans Homecoming Festivities. Sandy plans to enter the nursing profession after graduation from college. Shown at left is the Queen and her attendants. Initiate Trojans Homecoming The Ocala victory somewhat dampened Homecoming spirit. Beautiful decorations enjoyed by all. Proud eSC0I'fS Stand by The third annual Homecoming week saw an enlivened Trojan student body band together as clubs, hornerooms, faculty cooperated in making the annual affair a bigger and better suc- cess. Undaunted by a game loss, good school spirit prevailed.

l V . . . Qjfjszbafyjreseruahbn i The highlights of our school activities are our sports. Sports are a way of giving 'our students a feeling of accomplishment. The students try to make their teams the best because a school is known and remem- bered for its outstanding sportmanship a- bility. ,Th rough sports, students feel a great- pride and respect for their school and are willing to support their school. Among the varied sports offered in our school, there is one that will fit almost everyone's interest, including 'the girls as well as the boys. The boys on our various teams practice I long and hard to strive for victory. They give up much of their own personal time to come out andhelp make a good showing for the school. The boys put a lot of hard work, personal time, andaction into their games. When game time comes and victory is a- chieved, they realize that it was worth it. Sports are an important and a most benefiting part of our school curriculum.
