Clubs and homerooms of Evans High School submitted the names of their candidates for this honor to the committee organizing this annual affair. Mrs. Ruby Carson, at the time sponsor of the Trojan Tribune guided this activity. This year the Miss Evans contest is sponsored by the English Depart- ment with Mrs. Carson and Mrs. Myrtle Hubbard di- recting the program. This assembly program takes place on February 14. A Student Council Sweetheart Dance will climax the festivities and the new Miss Maynard Evans High is the honored guest of the evening. Q First Place Float Second Place First Place Car Evans Parade Festivities Annually the Student Council directs our Homecoming events. The Parade, handled this year by the newly organized Key Club, was a tremendous success. First place float prize was captured by the Spanish Club. The Wheel Club float took second place in the parade of floats with its Evans New Stadium theme. The gay, bubbly spirit of the smartly decorated Trojanette car added to the highly competitive feeling generated by the parade.
