Bob Bob Sandy Walker Leaman Elkin President Vice-Pr esident Secretary The main purpose of the Student Council is to represent the student body in gov- erning their affairs under the supervision of the faculty. Every year the main project of the Student Council is to sponsor the activities of Homecoming: selection of queen candidates, parade, and dance. For the first time at Evans, the Council undertook the presentation of the Sweetheart Ball in conjunction with the annual Sweetheart Contest . At the annual New Year's Eve Ball held at the Youth Center, Evans played host to the students of the various schools of Orange County. The Student Council deco- rated the Youth Center for this occasion. Under the supervision of the Student Council, a Student Court has been established at Evans. In the coming years, this new project will fill a great need of the student body. Also, through the efforts of the Student Council, an alma mater was composed, andaschool flagwas designed. It is the hope of the Council that future councils will carry on the fine traditions now existing in our school. gp.
