Shaw, we, the class of '56 take great honor and pleasure in dedicating the HI-LIGHTS OF '56 to you in this, A your sixteenth year of service to Mayfield Central School. EDITORIAL COMMENT The HI-LIGHTS of 1956 has attempted a more extensive coverage of the school program than ever before. This has been done to give our readers a more nearly complete picture of the entire academic year. We of the Class of 1956 hope that this policy will be followed in future years to make HAYFIELD CENTRAL SCHOOL annuals an outstanding feature of school life. To accomplish this we have used all of last year's basketball program including the sectional championship games at Saratoga. From our spring activities we have baseball, the Senior Ball and graduation of the Class of 1955. By following this procedure the yearbook establishes a continuity previously unattadned in annuals from this school. We are thankful for this opportunity to express our congratulations to the staff of the HI- LIGHTS of 1955 for improving the standard of Mayfield yearbooks. We sincerely hope that we have profited from their example and wish for at least as much success for the HI-LIGHTS of 1956. We deeply appreciafte the interest the Board of Education, Mr. Smithers, teachers and patrons have shown to help make this annual possible. Our heartiest congratulations go to Nr. Boshart, our Physical Education Director, whose teams in soccer, basketball, and baseball have won championships continuously since the spring of 19514. We sincerely hope that his teams will continue to add glory and honor to H.C.S!
