BIEHIORZ Tfl The Class of '53 deeply mourned the death c our beloved teacher, Allen Brown, who left or visible sight in June, l9S2, but whose memos and influence live on. We lost more than a teacher, we lost friend, a counsellor and companion. A There will never be another to take hi place, for there was only one Mr. Brown. H1 wit and humor became almost a legend to ue His numerous poems and even his conversatior with us brought this humor to light. There wa always a chuckle in store for us to make ou classwork more enjoyable. Mr. Brown had a certain knack for making hj classes interesting. He added man sidelight to a course, so as to maintain the student' interest and attention. His love for music was as much of an advar tage to us as to himself. Uhr lives were ofte enriched by the beautiful music he brought us. we shall never forget our dearly loved Mu Brown, for he will be present every time v sing our school song, or hear an organ, c enter the Science room and touch the instrumex with which he was so familiar. He will alway live in our hearts because his contributiox have become a Dart of us- PS9-lm 37:37 Mark the perfect mn and behol the upright: for the end of tha man is peace. SCHOOL SONG by ALLEN BROWN Lift your glad voices and swell out your lays, Singing for Mayfield the loudest of praise. Honors of glorious victories abound, Lift your glad voices till echos resound. Sons of our school through the years always stand, Shoulder to shoulder and proud of our land. Building forever a refuge from wrong, Home of the bravest and land of the strong. Soft in the evening our songs we will sing, Memories of school days the harmonies bring. Go back to Mayfield ye sons of her fold, Once more to honor and cheer as of old. 4
