And here we meet - and here we part for each must go her way, And disregard the mourning heart, the heart that begs to stay, -Patricia Duff, '45 Y 5 5 s :Q I bhi 3 i S5 0-A nun- aim' '-ws, l 5 3 qi 552.1 EUHTHHE mmm emma ELHSEEE Hmuvsms smug mmm mmm Prayerful strength . . . serene graciousness . . . utter dedication to Gods loving will . . . Mother Mary Borromeo has exemplified these qualities for fifty golden years in the Society of the Holy Child Jesus. As Superior of Mayfield N933-l94ll Mother guided our school and fostered its ideals in the difficult years of its beginning. Her prayers planted and sowed the seed which future years have harvested. lt was a blessing for Mayfield when Mother returned to us four years ago. We are privileged to share with her the golden year that marks her Golden Juloilee, All Mayfield ioins in expressing loving ap- preciation for all that she has done for our school and for us. Ill Hlllllllllllllllll To a teacher who has demonstrated her ability for teaching and her love of learning, who has fostered both our intellectual progress and our spiritual ad- vancement, who has been a part of us these past four years, whether initiating us to the fundamentals of literature, helping us to conquer irregular French verbs, or asssiting us as we struggled despairingly with our freshman English compositions . . . To a friend who has won our confidence and esteem by her warmth and humor, who possesses an un- canny talent for brightening her students' darkest moments with a witty anecdote or a buoyant word of praise, who has manifested on innumerable oc- casions her genuine and unfailing interest in each and every one of us . . . To an advisor who supported us as we fumbled uncertainly during our first months at Mayfield, who has counseled us with insight and understanding, who has guided us over rugged terrain with tender affection and perception . . . To a person we shall fondly remember as we look back upon our years at Mayfield . . . To Mother Elizabeth Mary, we gratefully and lovingly dedicate the l96O Crossroads. 5. i l lllllllllllllll ' at I ,ff Num, PHEUHH Q f, 1 Q3 JE fi 5 is H1 l 5 gf.
