New program helps beautify lVlayfair's campus Integration of a different Kind hap- pened at Nlayfair this year. Eighteen students from Selaco i-ligh School, a school for the deaf, took an F?.O.F'. class in landscaping. They came here for snack, third and fourth periods, and left right after lunch. This class was for the entire second semester. The students were accompanied by their teachers and an aide. Nlrs. Carolyn Fisher, the P.CJ.l3. director, was very excited about his class. She said, This class will offer the students a wonderful job oppor- tunity. lt's something where they vvon't have to deal with the problem of communication so much. Nlr. Smyth, the landscaping instructor, felt it was going to be a joint learning experience. l-le hoped to learn sign language. While lVlrs.
