l 'W Penny-Ante drive brings in the pennies 1 Once again, Nlayfair participated in the United Crusade Fund Drive. Each year the ASB cabinet selects Penny-Ante couples to collect money for the drive. Every class except the freshmen participated. There was alsp quite a bit of help from the seventh and eighth grade students. Other people besides the couples that volunteered were: Nlike Cope, Brad l-layden, Dave Roberts, Fiondi Zipperman, Debbie Cooley and Flobert Fecarotta. The total amount collected came to SQOCLE7. The money will be distributed to help United Crusade groups and organizations. The feeling of shock shows on a victim's fECE. J VVhat A Disaster! Drama department students staged the annual Disaster Drill on Dctober EE. lvlrs. Dorothy Qutherford, the school nurse, coordinated the drill for the benefit of Woodruff Gables and Bellwood General hospitals and the volunteer group FZEADT. Injured bodies covered the north parking lot area and the more severe casualties were taken by ambulance to be admitted to the two hospitals. The victims in a more stable condition were later attended to. Concerned citizens that witnessed the apparent disaster, a gas main explosion, commented on the realism of the project.
