ftlkin Mark Aimerito Commissioner of Publicity Carol Livingston Commissioner of Activities Mayfair High has faced some trying changes this past year. The Student Body Cabinet has tried its best to guide students through tiiese changes. The group of 16 student leaders met each day in leadership class to discuss the ma- jor problems of the school. Freshman orientation marked the start of the year of the new decade. The class of 1973 was informed of opportunities in clubs and athletic teams. The 1969-70 Pep Squad performed in front of MHS students for the first time. Freshmen were officially introduced to Mayfair High. The United Crusade proved Mayfair to be the most generous school in the district. Donations totaled more than $650.00 due to extra activities planned by the Cabinet. In January of the new decade, the ASB cabinet began the task of reorgani- zing the MHS Pep Squad to improve spirit and enthusiasm. Speak-Out days continued along with the sponsorship of Jaime Madero, the six year-old orphan in Arizona. The school partnership program was highlighted this year by letters from students at Mayfair ' s Peruvian school. In March, a benefit show was given by the Cabinet featuring George Sharp. All profits went to donations for MHS alumna, Marie Reynolds, who was in- volved in a serious automobile accident in October. Spring Sports Week was celebrated successfully for its second year in 1970. The Cabinet began coordinating the week ' s festivities in January, with three committees working on the mid-March event. June meant the end of a challenging year for the 1969-70 Cabinet. End of the year events were the Awards Assembly, distribution of the annuals. Senior Prom, Senior Breakfast and finally Graduation. The Cabinet members would like to thank the entire MHS student body for their help and cooperation through the past year of the new decade. Elaine Lewis Commissioner of Pep Cathy Hendel Commissioner of Campus and Community Relations Bill Norris Commissioner of Clubs and Organizations Nancy Gorzeman Commissioner of Arts and Awards
