Our Principal In these times of tension and conflict, the junior high school student faces great challenges. When many forces seem to be pulling at students to lure them into idleness and dissent, the character of each student is tested daily. The weak submit and become idle and resentful. But such neg- ative qualities will not make for personal happiness, nor will they strengthen our society. The strong will face the tests of our times and become forceful in their pursuit of goodwill and hard work--and these are the students who will become productive and happy in later years. To all students I want to extend my encouragement to face the challenges that confront us all each day and to strive towards excellence in learning and in everyday life. The yearbook editor and staff deserve our thanks for their efforts in helping us all preserve this year's highlights, and to them, may I say, Thank you. f ' TT A 1 t J , , . , i li Q' was I Q ia- iii, M415 M Y t I 1 vi nw His Assistant Di gnified Indispensable Original These words describe our new vice-principal, Mr. Andree. He came to us from Southeast High School, where he was a coach. We feel that with tact and ability he runs our school in such a manner that all the students like him --even in disciplinary matters. This IS our vice-principal.
