Full Hour Proctors Miss Martin sponsors the full hour proctors, but there are no regular meetings. Full hour proctors are chosen by teachers' ratings of those who volunteer. They include office, health room, library, and lock- er room. Teachers rate them on good citizenship, scholarship, personal poise, responsibility, dependa- bility, and maturity. Leadership and cooperation with other people are important also. Passing Proctors Forty students are serving as passing proctors at the 2O,4O, and 60 wing intersections. Their job is to direct traffic in the halls and to prevent conges- tion. They are chosen in the spring of their eighth grade year by teachers' ratings. Its sponsors are Mrs. Simonetto and Mrs. Whittington. The first semester officers were Tracy Volker, president, Don Nicholson, vice president, Vicki Coats, secretary, and Julie Boyd, treasurer. Second semester president was Don Nicholson and vice president was Susan Graham. The Council runs the study supply store, helps with charitable drives, participates in a Student Ex change Day and sends members to the lntercouncil meetings with other junior high schools. The mem- bers must have a C average to be in Student Council. Y-Teens Y-Teens is sponsored by Miss Hurssey and Mrs. Carmichael. The officers are Julie Ricketts, presi- dent, Carla Buller, vice-president, and Melody Everett, secretary. Their projects and activities have included raising money for the World Fellow- ship Fund, and attending Inter-club Council meet- ings, swimming meets and grooming clinics. The purposes of the group are to provide opportunities for teenage girls to develop skills in leadership ability and to provide for social, educational and religious growth, in keeping with the purpose of the Young Woman's Christian Association.
