This year enrollment is high once again in the Cercle Francais with 17 members. Every year the French Club has taken as their special project boost- ing the students morale: so we make shakers for the tourneys. The French Club has had several very nice parties with movies, recreation, and refreshments enjoyed by all. The first semester we elected officers. They were Pres. Marie King, Vice Pres. Jeanie Branock, Secy-Treas. Shirley Smith, Food Chairman Norma Zapf, and Entertainment Chairman Freddie Johnson. Many of the Seniors dropped out the second semester to take Senior English The following officers were elected for the rest of the year: Pres. George Phillips, Vice Pres. Eddie Willard, Secy-Treas. Shirley Smith, Entertainment Chairman Freddie Johnson, Food Chairman Colleen Cottey, Sponsor Mr. Leamon. The latter part of the first semester, nearly all of our French students sent for students' names in France to correspond with, Many in the classes have received one or more letters.
