Sunshine Creed: With love in my heart, forgetting self, and with charity for all, I will make the object of my life helpfulness and kindness to others. I shall try to fit myself to give intelligent service in making my community a safer and more beautiful place in which to live. Thus will my own life become rich and complete. There are 51 girls in Sunshine this year, The following officers were elected: Marie King, Pres.: Dixie Copeland, Vice Pres.: Jeanie Branock, Corres Secy.: Alice Kiser, Recording Secy,: Janet Swarts, Treas. Mrs. Gant is the Sponsor, The Sunshine girls raise money for many worthy purposes, such as helping the children at Riley Hospital, giving charity baskets at Christmastime, and sending cheerful greeting cards to people who are ill. Each year they send two or more girls to Camp Tecumseh where the girls learn more about the Sunshine Society and learn to be better citizens. Page Thirty-nine

The band has attended several activities this past year, some of which were the following the Memorial Day parade at Greenfield, the parade and two concerts at the County Fair: Band Day at I. U.: the Marine Band concert and parade at New Castle: a Butler University Band and Orchestra concert: the County Music Festival at Greenfield: and the District Band Contest at Knightstown. Also, there were about fifteen members entered in the Solo and Ensemble Contest at Muncie, five of which went on to the State Contest at Butler, Page Forty . - D .
