The chorus sang at the Veterans Day assembly November ll. Time was spent preparing for the Ta-Ma-J a Vocal Festival, held Nov- ember 2l at LDF. The mass chorus practiced all day and pre- sented a concert that evening. The mixed chorus also perform- ed at the Christmas program and at the Swing Show. Much time was spent preparing for a concert of contempo- rary music held the afternoon of April 18 at C. Y. Stephens Auditorium in Ames. The concert was a part of the Midwest- ern Percussion Symposium. Practice sessions with the other schools involved were held the evening of April 15 and the morning before the concert. Solo and small group contest was held in April. Two of the soloists, Lorrie Appell and Steph Caple, received I's. All other soloists received II's. The madrigal also received a I.
