1940-The Shadow-1941 SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Continued Collins school and succeeded in capturing two prisoners. They were two young officers, Lieutenants Miles Pearson and Stuart McCord. The Regiment charged to the Junior High Fort and took possession of that tactical location for a period of three years. In 1935, Private Nadine Brown and Private Maxine Brown came to the regiment from Collins and Private Colleen Patterson was sent to Collins to spy out all of the new secrets. Private Eugene Henson was absent without leave from the Nevada camp but soon showed up in the Maxwell camp. Private Louis Krausman deserted the Baxter camp. After the regiment captured the Junior High Fort they advanced to the High School where it secured new recruits. During the first year Private Maxine Bloomfield returned to her old regiment and brought with her Private LeRoy Glasgow. Private Colleen Patterson was recalled home and Private Marjorie Pearce left the Marshalltown National Guard to beco e a member of the Llst. The Sophomore and Junior years were rather quiet ones except for Basket- ball games, parties, Junior-Senior Banquet and many other activities. No enlistments were taken.
