Dedication This year's Highlighter’ is dedi- cated to our school nurse, Mrs. Mary Lykosh, because of her timeless efforts to help Maxson students. She has served as school nurse at Maxson for twenty-one years. During that time she has contri- buted a great deal to our school and the community through such ac- tivities as food baskets for the needy at Thanksgiving and Christ- mas. Those figures indicated three out of ten students did not graduate with their classmates (Reasons: retained, transferred or dropped out). Let's set your goals to not only complete the next four years of high school but to continue your education beyond June of 1987. The world in which we live today consists of many people competing for jobs that are not too abundant. This means you must make yourselves qualified to the highest degree in order to be strong candidates for these positions. Be determined that you will apply your energies to becoming well-educated and fully prepared for whatever opportunities are available in the years EOuCOMe.. Always do yourbest and you will have better opportunities for accomplishing your goals. Aim high, work hard, and be confident that you will reach your target.
