PRINCIPAL ERNEST P. HOBBIE, Principal TO THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 1978: ‘It’s Cool to be Smart’ and the ‘Push for Excellence’ have been mottoes for this school year. Your parents signed contracts indicating their support and cooperation with your teachers to insure a sound educational program. Why not keep your own contract while you strive for excellence? It is cool to be smart and we know that! Let’s continue with the same motto for the next four years in high school. Let’s be successful in all phases of school life. Set a goal or standard to reach and don’t accept anything short of that. Develop good study habits and self-discipline. You are the key to your future. You must be prepared to work conscientiously and diligently to achieve success. No one will hand you a formula or solution for success or fai lure. You must dedicate your energies toward whatever you wish to accomplish. We, the staff at Maxson, wish you success, happiness and good health in the future. Sincerely, Ernest P. Hobbie Principal
