'7 As we bring our final year at Madonna to a close with this memory book, we seniors find much for which we are grateful and many persons to whom we are indebted. For the opportunities offered us during four years in a Catholic high school and to all the people--parents,pas- tors,teachers, friends--who have helped us to grow spirit- ually and mentally, we say a sincere THANK YOU. We shall try to prove our gratitude through the years in living according to the principles we have been taught. By the shield, the emblem of our school, and of our memory book, we are reminded of the courage we will need to be loyal to the ideals set before uszby the M which surmounts the shield, we are reminded that through Mary, Madonna's patroness, we will reach Christ, our Goal. May eternity find all of the class of 1957 everlast- ingly grateful to those who have assisted us in reaching the happiness of heaven. Z
